The P.E.I. Senior Citizens' Federation is a provincial-wide non-profit charitable organization consisting of over 50 seniors groups. Through our member clubs and local community organizations, we deliver programs and distribute information to Island seniors (adults 50+) Island wide (both members and non members). Our publication The Voice For Island Seniors  is distributed in the Guardian newspaper the first Tuesday of each month.

The PEI Advisory Council on the Status of Women


The PEI Advisory Council on the Status of Women is an arms-length government advisory agency that works for gender equality for all Islanders, by promoting changes of attitude within the Prince Edward Island community and advising government to achieve equality in legislation, policies, and programs. The PEI Advisory Council on the Status of Women coordinates the annual Purple Ribbon Campaign Against Violence, focused on all forms of violence against women and children.

The Prince Edward Island Human Rights Commission


The Prince Edward Island Human Rights Commission is an independent body that administers and enforces the Prince Edward Island Human Rights Act. The Act prohibits discrimination in areas such as employment

and services on the basis of certain personal characteristics or grounds (sex, race, disability...). Discrimination is the unequal, stereotypical or prejudicial treatment of persons.
